Camp Daze

Thank you for the love and support, lol.

Yes, it is true. I have started working at camp, being surrounded by excited little girls who 'love horsies' and scared to death to ride. Not an unreasonable fear for those who have heard some stories about Cowboy Camp last year. I love Cowboy Camp the best, but ten horse-uneducated and fearful little people per ride is pretty problematic. Last year was very awesome and I loved the people. This year, we have half the staff at Cowboy, yet I think we're going to give the campers more practice in a safer environment (in the areana), rather than only on the trail.

TODAY IS MY 1ST DAY OFF!! WHOOOHOOOO!

I'm exhausted and it's only the third day of camp. I stumble into the dormitory where I sleep on my day off, and what does this chica in the corner do? Start rambling on and on and on. I realize I am not going to get the coveted sleep I was craving so I inch toward the door as she goes on and on--presumably talking to me, but no communication was taking place. I escape up here to the computer, where, when the net is working, I can check e-mail for a limited time, about once a week--days off. And rarely more than that.

We have a demon kitty in our bunk house. One of the counselors snuck her kitten into our living space at Cowboy Camp, because she had no where else for her pet to go. The thing is a demon child. You move and he attacks your leg while purring incestantly--which is where he got his name, "Harley." It even climbs up the screen doors as we enter or leave the wagon. The kids ove it. Thankfully it hasn't attacked their petting hands with fangs and claws to "play" as it has done with the other female staff watching it.

And that was the latest wagon bulletin.

Oh and YESTERDAY I GOT A LETTER FROM CLAUDIA!!! (best friend from Union.) Made my day!!
