I've been meaning to ask the Aussies this for the last couple of days--since cyclone Larry hit your northeast coast on Monday (U.S. time). It's been reported that no one was killed, since your government learned well from our Katrina blunder, but: everyone ok over there?
I know that most no one was in that area, except by a freak chance that they happened to be visiting the area that week....doubtful. But everyone's parents' houses, relies and such ok?

I think everyone's families are alright. The only person at Cooranbong who's immediate family are in that area is Michelle Long and I haven't heard anything.
Chris & Sharona have family up that end of the country don't they? Maybe we should ask them about it.
they have a grandmother and aunt in Inisvale (am i spelling that right?)
No one has heard from them, but the official report from the sda church in the area says that all members and their houses are okay. (the houses are not fabulous but in livable or soon to be livable condition)
Don't worry if it's not spelt right, the only people who actually know how are from Inisvale and the Internet hasn't reached them yet :p (sorry Inisvale!)
Shouldn't laugh, but it's hilarious that the Bush administration was already offering us aid for the cyclone-hit areas a couple of days after it happened. Yet they couldn't manage to organise themselves for Hurricane Katrina... hmm.
I kinda wonder if John Howard replied like, "Ermm... we were ready for it... we're used to having an average of 10 cyclones around Australia's coast, with two hitting land, each year... but thanks!" *lol*
lol, how many places is the U.S. going to offer aid to when we're still trying to figure out katrina clean-up? :P
glad it didn't hit too close to home and it sounds like nation-wide everyone's pretty much fine. alive and kicking.
