it's almost 1 a.m.
why am i up so bloody late?
one guess to people that know me:
....
yep, i'm leaving again.
i'm gone for a week and as is typical, i have one shirt in my suitcase. the rest of it is empty. i haven't gathered all my junk or taken a shower. and of course i'm going to do this soon....ish. four hours to go before take off.
the only difference between tonight and every other night...is i'm actually tired. like brain-slowing-don't-want-to-do-this-anymore-want-sleep-now, tired.
darn it.
i'm old.

What convention?
and if it helps, I'm old too... I can't take the late nights like I used to :(
Awww... it sucks to get to the age where you go, "Okay, so maybe after midnight really isn't my thing any more."
Then it's time to start crocheting the granny blankets... *le sigh*
the convention: a bunch of student association leaders go to a college/uni for leadership training of the incoming officers and advice of the old.
we drove 17 hours there, to tennesse (first time i've ever been there). it took us 14 hours to drive throughout the night all the way back (less traffic from 10 p.m. to noon). even though i slept pretty well, i feel exhausted.
and the room keeps rocking and spinning like it did all those hours in the RV back here. ugh.
and now to work on the mounds of homework to makeup...the real sign of old age...trying to be responcible. ;)
So was it worth it?
Oh, something random: I was talking to my friend (and fellow engineer) Cody Hanson the other day and discovered that he worked at Leoni Meadows and surprise, surprise he knew you :P
