we shopped for 8 hours. shaz, mum and i hit the town running and introduced shaz to all the american shops.
we took a pic of shaz in Wal-mart which was a first event for her and a semi-illegal activity for us since the last time i tried to play digital-photo-scavenger-hunt (you get photos of random things and activities from a list and race other teams) in Wal-mart, i got kicked out. apparently there's a "no photos" rule in Wal-mart.
i explained this to shaz right after she discovered the self-check out machine and started drooling and stammering, "picture, i need a picture of this!"
then i realized: we're in the self-check out aisle. there shouldn't be any Wal-mart staff around. i looked around. i was right. and i happened to have my new digital camera with me.
as shaz set up the scene by adding quarters to the change slot, i fumbled to grab my digital and reloaded the batteries (it's been having problems with the batts). suddenly a helpful Wal-mart worker appeared beside my right arm and looked at us. "Press 'English' to begin the check-out process" she said. and walked away.
Righto. Thanks! Snap the photo, dash for the door. in retrospect: what's the worse that could've happened? get kicked out after buying britle?
