Kimi wa peto (You are My Pet) is an adorable Japanese TV show about a successful ice-queen journalist that takes in a boy as a pet. She finds him cold, unconscious and beat up and left in a cardboard box. She bandages him up and eventually allows him to stay with her for awhile as long as he lives as her pet--no personal rights and no sleeping in her bedroom. They go through lots of drama considering she gets a boyfriend and people are after the boy. It's pretty much about making a friendship where you can completely be yourself---good and bad---and still be accepted.
The TV show was a take off of a comic book. I got completely hooked last year thanks to my friend Amanda and randomly felt the need to share. It's cute.

looks like something i need to find. any ideas where to start looking?
Get someone to burn them on dvds and have Shaz bring them back? :) I think Michelle got hooked on this one too - sounds like a curious premise...
What a fanastic "pick up" line! You are my pet ... apart from the lack of personal rights I love the concept ... you are accepted, you are loved, you are are someone who will listen and communicate with, someone to go on long walks ... a definiate plus! Sounds very interesting! :D And yeah, Brandon, has a good idea ... I can take them back to Australia!
...i saw a sign that said, "all men are animals, but some make good pets." :)
i'll ask amanda where she's found it and try to let you know.
