In memory of

Unless you've been hiding under your bed for four days, you've probably heard about rising star, Heath Ledger, who was found dead in his apartment on Jan. 21, 2008. At this point people are assuming the Australian actor OD-ed on prescription pills.

Maybe it's because he has two films coming out, or maybe it's because I've followed his films since he started getting attention---and not because he was good looking (which he was), but because he actually picked good, interesting and diverse roles. Or maybe it's because he was so young--only 32 years old--and his career looked so full of potential. Or maybe it's seeing all these mini-biographies for a guy I still can't believe is dead. Whatever it is, his death hit harder than I would have imagined for a person I never knew.
