Natural disasters of the Florence kind

So we had an earthquake yesterday.

I was in the top room of the girls' dorm pretending to read this morning when the entire building shook. At first I thought I giant truck...or a gorilla...was going past the building. Then I realized it might be something more.

I decided there was only two ways to find out: the sound of doors slamming as girls gathered in the hallway while asking each other, "Did you feel that?!" and the tremors following 10 minutes later confirmed the hunch. About half hour after the first one, there was a second, followed by two very minimum tremors.

Most girls only felt one of the earthquakes. But I had the advantage of being in the highest room in the building at the moment of shuddering, so I felt special to have surfed them all. Ok...surfed is an extreme word for this.

Both earthquakes were very minimal. Just shudders. There was no damage that I know of and everyone was fine. The earthquakes only effect were making the day so much cooler. Thank you, God for cool experiences without disasterous consequences.
