Claudia's Navidad

k, so Claudia jaunts right in at 3 a.m., right after i finish writing my post. she la-las around, we talk, i'm obviously excited and trying desperately to pass it off to other reasons. i find out she has a meeting in the student center at 9 a.m. claudia goes to sleep, i go to bed at 4 a.m.

8:55 a.m. i'm up, have called the boys and told them to meet us at the student center...hoping desperately it's unlocked. claudia groggily sits up in bed, asks for the phone, calls shelli and finds out the meeting's been cancelled. ooooh no you don't.

so i sway from toe to toe as she yells "yes!" and collapses under the covers. i gingerly walk over to her bunk bed, put my dancing eyes over the top of the mattress and say, "Claudia, you know that gift i have for you this weekend? come see it." :D

i'm practically holding myself at knife point so i don't leap the entire way to the student center. thankfully one door's unlocked. it's 9:05 a.m. Claudia's afraid this is a scene in a horror movie and nervously exclaims, "the minority is always the first to die!"

we see a shadowy figure move into a room. i make her put her hands on her eyes. we walk into the room, i spin her around and say, "claudia, here's your early Christmas present." eyes open. Scott Murray, sitting casually, if not sleepily there. :D

Big smiles, laughing, we describe how heaps of friends and people bid $300 so that she could have an awesome date. i admit, i was the one chattering on, dancing around, grinning the widest. scott and walter were a little more obviously tired, but happy. claudia's mouth hung to the floor when she heard the price tag and was speechless for most of the time, with bits of laughter and grins coming out.

Claudia's in awe she got bought a date, and exactly who she'd said.
Scott's in awe that there was such heated competition and he sold for doublely more than anyone else.
I'm in love with everyone who made it possible (mainly Brandon Tan, Beau Snider, Othnell, Brad, Amy, Missy, Jonny, Korf, and heaps more amazing people!!) 29 people had donated money before the bidding started. :D I just keep dancing around like a little girl on Christmas Eve night!
