So....i'm really excited about the banquet that we've been planning for this Sunday...easter Sunday baby. Anyway (for all my Union readers they'll be sick to death of this subject 'cause almost everyday i'm sending them e-mails about something to do with banquet. ;) ), the theme is "Twilight in Venice: Masquerade Ball."
We've got fencers (yes, sword people), classical music singing, lots of food, mask contests, goofy table mask contests (where there's 3 masks for the table of 10 people. catogories are sci-fi, animal, and ugliest. if a mask from the table wins, everyone at the table wins), and my favorite part is gondola rides after! :) well, ok we've got one gondola for pictures and one 40-passenger caorlina for 10 min. rides for people around the lake. so that should be super fun, only 2 blocks away from the hotel.
So far the usual amount--400 people signed up and we have a waiting list. I'm really excited. it should be lots of fun and i've kept hearing how much hard work people have been putting into their masks. Hobby Lobby--craft store--are completely out of masks right now.
So i'm thrilled. i know it'll be a blast. i just need to stop freaking out about it. and breathe. keep breathing. and get homework and everything else done. :)

SOoooooooOOOooo how was it??? Everything went off as planned or better? Any catastrophic last-minute nightmares?

I find vampyre personas to be good for Masquerade!

there was some awesome costumes there!
actually...some of the oddest costumes were a guy with a stuffed dog mask and a guy who went as The Mask--Jim Carrey's yellow hat and green mask and everything. and of course there was zorro and cathrine zeta jones just like a similiar banquet not so long ago...
