Wow, Kris. Thank you for inspiring me to get back online: no more bad poetry!! :)
I've been in Italy for one week today and I'm still getting adjusted.
Tidbits
-75% of Italians around here know English enough to converse. (They're all taught in high school, there's English phrases in the TV commercials and the music played in department stores is American.
-As for prices: think American numbers on price tags for everything, with a euro sign instead of a dollar sign. ($1.60/$1.70 to 1 euro). Translation: expensive.
-Everyone's a bit more fashionable here. Jewelry is an important part of the outfit's overall affect.
I'm taking Italian grammer and conversation classes obviously. 98% of the class is in Italian. It's sink or swim kinda, but our main professoressa is very fun, even though it's challenging. "Pratica, pratica, pratica."
