It's the end of the world as we know it

Everyone's leaving now.
Each day another friend leaves. Tomorrow it's my roommate's turn.


The last nights are bittersweet, lately they're a bit mellow. It's amazing how much less conversation there is when everyone's avoiding the topic of anything to do with the future. There's only so much you can say from the same mouth. I'm excited. I'm sad. I can't wait to be home. I don't want to leave. I don't know when I'll see you again.

We're from all over the world. Even those in the same country are from far away states. It's almost impossible to say how much emptier the campus feels every day. How much my heart keeps aching. And how ready I am to just be home.
