life update and politics

Ok, randomness....
--My contacts are killing me. My eyes are gasping for air at 11 p.m. (This is just a side note.)
--I might be helping out behind the scenes with a Shakepeare play. I'm goofily and quite geekily excited about this. (Yes, I just made up words, but so did Shakepeare. Get over it.)

I was in the grocery store the other day and heard the check out lady and the woman buying groceries in front of me talking politics. They both agreed that they didn't want Obama to become the next president because "he is a Muslim." Okkkkkkkkk.....

Honestly, I don't care who you vote for as long as you make an INFORMED decision. Obama is not Muslim. He's a Christian. Don't people remember the uproar about something Obama's pastor said at his old church? People were freaking out back then about his CHRISTIAN pastor. Check your facts. Here's some common misconceptions addressed by msnbc.com.

A good thing about Obama: Economy plan
My beginner's economics class in 2006 addressed the common idea of "trickle down economics" and how it DOES NOT WORK to stimulate the economy. It only widens the gap between the wealthy and poor. This is simple (not even elaborate) economics, people. McCain needs some seriously better advisers in this area.

A good thing about McCain: Strong anti-torture stance
You get more reliable information for our troops when you do not torture inmates or sink as low as the very terror we are fighting against.
