So to follow Katie's example, and because when I was in church at 6:30 a.m. yesterday (Spanish church always starts early, especially for holidays when you can also have yummy breakfast afterwards), I realized how completely blessed I am.
Things I am Incredibly Grateful For:
1) Italiano experience. Really, last year completely altered my life. Taught me the value of beauty, art and reinforced the importance of a small group of stable, do-anything-for-you friends.
2) Aussie experience. Also completely life changing. I discovered politics affect my life and that I am part of a global society. This was the first time that I became part of a small group of friends and realized how incredibly important it is to know you belong.
3) My college in the States: serving others as a lifestyle and how to be a leader. Not to mention pretty kick-butt people.
4) The scrunching of autumn leaves.
5) If you don't put family down on the list to be thankful for, everyone thinks you're pretty much a miniature Hilter. But seriously, I love my family and they're awesome. They are my support, my tank of wisdom and my energizer of hysterical laughing.
6) A good job doing exactly what I want to do: traveling the country, interviewing strangers, learning how to do an interesting, fast and efficient write-up ASAP.
7) Christmas. I am looking forward to questo Natale piu' di prima, non sono sicura ma penso e' perche' mi manca la mia famiglia. [I'm really looking forward to Christmas for the first time in ages. I miss my family.]
